A "floating" center rod that moves as you pick up the balls, minimizing the possibility of bent wires and making pick up a snap. The hopper has slots in the bottom that allow balls to be squeezed through the bottom when the weight of the tennis ball basket is lowered on the ball. Stands up for tossing practice balls and serving practice. The unbreakable basket bottom is constructed without welds and has plastic bumpers. Includes lid for convenient ball transport.
