How It Works: The Contact Trainer is held by a coach to simulate hitting from anywhere on the court. Just one example is to serve, hit a baseline forehand, and then close in to finish with a short forehand winner. Start off slowly, with the coach or partner carefully positioned in front of and off to the side of the hitter. The partner holds the strap behind the unit to absorb some of the shock from strong hitting. The Contact Trainer can be used for repetitive practice as well as movement and positioning for shot sequences as shown below.
The key to successful use is the partner holding the device! Use slowly at first and then speed up.
